Rebecca Joynes was a teacher in Manchester, UK, but was suspended after being suspected of having sex with two of her pupils - both minors.

It was allegedly the "first time" for one of the minors (aged 16 at the time) and she became pregnant with his child. She is also accused of previously having sex with a 15-year-old pupil. The teacher is 30 years old, she was 29 at the time.

The case is being tried and during Tuesday's court session, the Englishwoman admitted that she lost her "dream job" because of "stupid mistakes".

There were two central mistakes, according to the accused: she spoke to both of them privately on Snapchat (the messages have since been deleted and the police can't recover them) and she took the two students to her house.

However, she guarantees that she never had sexual relations with any of the former pupils, at least while they were at the same school; despite the fact that semen from the younger one was found on her bed sheets.

She also assures us that her relationship with the second teenager only began after he left school and after she was suspended. The teenager in question (who got the teacher pregnant) denies this version; he says that he was still at school and that, on their first meeting in the apartment, she got on top of him and kissed him, and on their second meeting they had sex.

In the Manchester court, a message that the teacher wrote to the student was read out: "Every inch of you is perfect. You are everything I dreamed of".

Rebecca Joynes didn't deny the content of the message but guaranteed that it was written a year after he left school: "I was in love with him. He was going to be the father of my child", quotes Sky News.

Teacher accused of having sex with two students says she ruined her ‘dream job’ with stupid ‘mistakes’, jury hears
Rebecca Joynes allegedly became pregnant after having sex with one of her victims, known as boy B, Manchester Crown Court heard - she denies the allegations against her.

And, he continues, he was not at fault in this case - remember that, in the UK, having sex with someone from the age of 16 is no longer a crime. It's the minimum age of consent.

In an exchange of messages, possibly at an earlier stage, the teenager wrote to Rebecca: "Show your chest". The teacher replied with smiles in the form of emojis.

The prosecutor focused on one aspect: the teacher never pushed the pupils away, never put a stop to the atmosphere. She gave "ambiguous" answers.

Rebecca explains that, in a phase of loneliness, she particularly liked the closeness, the care of the child. And a friendly relationship began there, first with walks outside, then with his visits to her apartment.

At another stage, in relation to the baby, there was a discussion between the two and they couldn't come to a conclusion on what to do.

The teenager claims that he tried to end the relationship, told the teacher to find someone her own age but, he reveals, was the victim of emotional pressure from her to continue the relationship.

The trial will continue.
